How did you get your start as a musician?
I got started in year 7, which used to be first year of high school. One of my best friend’s older brother and his mates were playing guitars and it blew my mind, so I asked them to show me how to play a few things. I have never looked back since!

How would you describe your music?
Roots / Funk / Blues

Who is your musical idol? Is there anyone who inspires you or influences your sound?
I’d say my idol growing up was Jimi Hendrix. Artists like John Mayer and Ben Harper were also inspiring for me.

If you could invite three musicians to dinner, who would they be and what would you serve?
I would invite my band because they are such great guys and we have such great chats about all kinds of unusual things.  I’m not sure what I would serve but it would have to be something nice because we are all food lovers.

What is the one venue or event you would love to perform at and why?
I’d love to pay at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney because it looks like such a beautiful old theatre.

What are your career highlights so far?
My career highlights so far have been releasing my full-length album, and getting to play with many amazing musicians at some great gigs.

What are your career goals as a musician?
My next goal is to produce my songs myself at home, and create a Patreon account and release a new song each month to the subscribers.

What advice would you give to other aspiring musicians?
My advice would be develop and hone your craft and follow your own personal vision you have for your music that will bring you fulfilment.

What is your favourite thing about working in the WA music industry?
Getting to perform with great people, great players, and the beauty of having built great relationships the them, students and music shops over so many years.
