RAC Arena and Hyundai Motor Company Australia (HMCA) have kicked off 2019 with the announcement of a major new multi-year partnership, making Hyundai the venue’s first Official Motor Vehicle Partner.

Hyundai, one of the world’s most iconic car companies, started its Australian journey in Perth back in 1986 when the brand first entered the local market. From those early days Hyundai has grown to become the third highest selling automotive brand in the country, and this partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to where it all started.

RAC Arena General Manager Michael Scott said Hyundai is the perfect fit for the venue.

“Hyundai has an extensive range of high-quality, appealing cars that are perfectly matched to the huge diversity of events at RAC Arena,” Mr Scott said.

“We share Hyundai’s mantra of new thinking, innovation and commitment to Western Australia,” he said.

HMCA Chief Executive Officer, JW Lee, said: “This new partnership with RAC Arena continues Hyundai’s 30 year plus dedication to WA. The venue attracts a diverse audience to its multitude of events, providing us the perfect platform to connect with the state’s broader community.”

“With our plans to launch new, exciting and ground breaking vehicles in the near future, this partnership will enable us to engage with fans and showcase the challenging spirit of Hyundai.”

Having just launched Australia’s most affordable range of electric cars, called IONIQ, Hyundai will also install electric car charging stations in the venue’s carpark as part of the partnership.

RAC Arena is Western Australia’s home of live entertainment since 2012 and ranked seventh in the world for its category in Billboard’s top venues.
