Murdoch Students Find Employment at RAC Arena
The RAC Arena team has welcomed two new friendly faces! Murdoch University graduates, Patty Currall and Preston Williams have joined us as Multimedia Assistants, working closely with the marketing and communications team to help deliver quality digital and print collateral for the arena.
With Murdoch students considered preferred applicants for RAC Arena roles, having Patty and Preston come on board was a natural fit. The Bachelor of Arts students, both majoring in graphic design, are well equipped with the skills required for the multimedia role, and have settled into their new positions with ease.
Preston is thrilled to have landed a role within RAC Arena, working with a dynamic team in an ever-changing environment – a far stretch from the usual office day job!
“This position has so many different elements to work on, so there’s never a dull moment.”
Patty has also enjoyed her glimpse into the Arena lifestyle, which would not have been possible without her Murdoch University education.
“Murdoch University has helped me get to where I am today,” said Patty. “This is an incredible opportunity, and one I feel very fortunate to be a part of”.
Murdoch University has been the official education partner of the Arena since 2017 with the partnership continuing to flourish. One element of the partnership that has experienced great success is the internship programme with 50% of interns going on to receive paid work at the Arena, as a direct result of their placement.
