One Big Voice at Perth Arena
Earlier this month, Perth Arena set the stage for Australia’s largest children’s choir festival, One Big Voice.
The special evening performance marked the festival’s 17th anniversary with 3,800 talented students from 74 schools performing at the venue.
The performance saw students deliver songs in front of a 40 metre curved LED screen (the only one of its kind in Australia), with up and coming young talent providing the entertainment for the audience both pre and post show.
The students treated those in attendance to a range of uplifting songs with special performances by guest artists.
Formally known as the Westcoast Songfest, One Big Voice was established to provide a performance opportunity for developing primary school choirs and invites students to participate in a non-competitive mass choir with the aim of building confidence in music.
The festival is an important part of the school year and encourages and promotes participation in The Arts within the community while building great relationships between West Australian schools.
This is the first year the event has been held at Perth Arena.
