We could not be more proud to have worked together with our fellow WA venues to prepare meals for those in need. RAC Arena, Optus Stadium, HBF stadium and Venueswest, on behalf of the State Government, joined forces to produce 20,000 individually frozen packaged meals.

Seven RAC Arena full-time kitchen staff, under the direction of our Executive Chef Paul Beard, were redeployed to assist in prepping the meals. Over a number of weeks, equating to 259 hours, our teams worked together to help support and benefit a number of our community and corporate partners.

The meals were designed to be consumed by a broad range of the community with dietary requirements, intolerances and religious beliefs all considered to ensure there was suitability for as many people as possible.

The meals, valued at $55,000, went to OzHarvest WA, who divided them amongst many of our beloved partners, SecondBite, The Salvation Army, and international students at Murdoch University. This marks the first time in history the big food rescue organisations have teamed up, spreading the love across WA, from Albany to Broome.

We’re pleased to be able to do our part for the community, especially during these unprecedented times, and look forward to doing more to give back to those who have always supported us.
