Application for Limelight Music Support Fund RAC Arena 2025
For the fourth consecutive year, RAC Arena is once again giving local musicians the chance to step into the spotlight with the return of the Limelight Music Support Fund. The initiative offers a support package for an up-and-coming Western Australian musician or band. The major support package, valued at over $25,000, will be a combination of financial, performance and promotional opportunities for the chosen WA musician in 2026. Additionally, a minor package valued at $3,000 will be awarded to two well deserving runner up applicants.
Major Support Fund package includes:
- $5,000 financial assistance thanks to RAC Arena
- Live performance at Telethon 2026
- Radio campaign thanks to Nova Entertainment
- Music equipment thanks to Mega Music and Yamaha
- Recording studio time and rehearsal space thanks to Vision Studios
- Inclusion in the 2026 WAM Showcase line-up and weekend pass to WAMCon 2026 thanks to West Australian Music
- Promotional support via RAC Arena’s marketing channels
Minor Support Fund package includes:
- $1,500 financial assistance
- Promotional support via RAC Arena’s marketing channels
Are you the next big arena act? Applications are invited from emerging musicians of any genre who reside in Western Australia. Your application should include an outline of an activity you would like to undertake throughout 2025, demonstrate how you plan to use the support fund, and the outcomes to your career that you expect as a result.
The 2025 winners will be selected by a panel of industry professionals, including RAC Arena’s general manager Michael Scott, WAM’s CEO Owen Whittle, RTRFM producer and presenter Pamela Boland and PLAY magazine editor Belle Taylor.
WA rising stars The Kickons, Anna Schneider, GIA COMO, Alter Boy, Angie Colman, Riley Pearce and Those Who Dream have received support from the initiative, and you could be next!
Applications are now open and closing 8am AWST on Monday 17th November 2025.
