Application for Limelight Music Support Fund RAC Arena 2023

After successfully launching the Limelight Music Support Fund in 2022, and awarding Alter Boy the inaugural winner, RAC Arena is once again offering an annual support package for an up and coming Western Australian artist or act. The support, valued at over $15,000, will be a combination of financial, performance and promotional opportunities for the chosen WA musician over a 12 month period. Additionally, this year we’re excited to advise a minor package, valued at $3,000, will be awarded to two well deserving runner up applicants.

Major Support Fund package includes:

  • $5,000 financial assistance
  • Radio campaign thanks to Nova Entertainment
  • $2,500 music equipment (Equipment pack made up of 1 x Yamaha DTX402PLUS Electronic Drumkit Package, 1 x Yamaha P145 Portable Digital Piano, 2 x Yamaha HS5 Studio Monitor) thanks to Mega Music and Yamaha
  • Inclusion in the WAMFest 2024 line-up
  • Promotional support via RAC Arena’s marketing channels

Minor Support Fund package includes:

  • $1,500 financial assistance
  • Promotional support via RAC Arena’s marketing channels

Are you the next big arena act? Applications are invited from emerging musicians of any genre who reside in Western Australia. Your application should include an outline of an activity you would like to undertake throughout 2024, demonstrate how you plan to use the support fund, and the outcomes to your career that you expect as a result.

The winners will be chosen by a panel of local and interstate industry professionals. This year’s panel includes RAC Arena’s general manager Michael Scott, WAM board member Kristina West, Mackenzie Moor from Select Music Agency, Lemon Tree Music’s Kristie McCarthy, and artist manager Josh Terlick from Cut Above Collective.

Applications for the 2023 Limelight Music Support Fund have now closed. Winners will be notified and announced in December.
