Getting’ our grow on for Daffodil Day

The Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day fell on Thursday, August 31 this year, and in the lead-up, staff were offered the chance to compete in a friendly competition to see who could grow the best daffodil. When the official day arrived, afternoon tea was held for staff to come together to commemorate the day and the daffodils were judged. Congratulations to one of our Events and Partnership Coordinators, Jess, on her winning flower.

The Bootleggers bring their A-game

Luke Combs’ first-ever show in Perth was met with much love from his adoring fans, aka the Bootleggers. The sold-out crowd packed the venue for a huge night of country tunes, made even more special by support acts Cody Johnson and Aussie artist Lane Pittman. There were even a few proposals throughout the evening, making it an extra special event for a few amongst the many.

It’s one big day for One Big Voice

For the fifth time in the venues history, One Big Voice, the school choir spectacular, was back at RAC Arena. School choirs from all across the region flocked to the venue to perform across two separate shows during the day and evening. Joining them were proud parents and supporters, eager to welcome the event back after a three year hiatus. All-in-all, the event was a great success and we look forward to welcoming it back in 2024.

A visit from a familiar face

Telethon is back at Perth’s home of live entertainment on October 21 & 22, and in the lead up, staff were treated to a visit from the General Manager of Telethon, Mark McCrory, to discuss the importance of the event in the community. At the end of the session, the always popular Fat Cat came through to say g’day and grab some photos with the team.

September is going to be special!

After a couple of quieter months in the events world, it’s full steam ahead in September with a huge month on the horizon. Australia’s biggest streetwear and sneaker convention, Sneakerland, will kick things off on September 2nd, followed by the return of Culture Club on September 5th. We are also proud to be the new hosts of the Indigenous Emerging Business Forum on September 8th and will welcome a new Cirque du Soleil show, CRYSTAL, for 11 massive shows across two weekends. Finally, everything will be capped off when the Perth Wildcats return for the first home game of the new NBL Season on September 29th. Bring it on!
