Finishing off the year in style

We knocked over three events in the first three days of the year, thanks to a Perth Wildcats game, a belting show from hip-hop sensation 50 Cent, and a performance as cool as they come from the one and only Harry Connick Jr.

It wasn’t long until we were laughing with the very funny Gabriel Iglesias and welcomed in the people of Perth to help celebrate the festive season across two free performances of the WASO Christmas Spectacular. The month finally came to an end amid the very exciting week that is the United Cup, which saw some of the current greats of tennis battle it out on the court for their countries. What a month, what a year!

New stars are in the Limelight for 2024

Back in its second year, our Limelight Music Support Fund competition was a great success. In partnership with WAM, this year the initiative awarded a package worth more than $15,000 to an up-and-coming WA artist, and two runners-up also received a prize worth more than $3,000 each.

Congratulations to the main winner and our new Limelight recipient, Angie Colman, as well as indie musician, Riley Pearce, and rock duo, Those Who Dream. We look forward to seeing and showing more of what these talented artists have to offer over the course of 2024!

Super year ahead for our inaugural Superpass winner

Imagine knowing you have scored yourself free tickets to each concert at RAC Arena for an entire year? Well, that’s the reality for our Concert Superpass winner, Kym, who has also scored herself a $1000 food and beverage voucher as part of our annual charity raffle.

Overall, the raffle managed to raise more than $56,000 for our long-time community partner, The Salvation Army, whilst Kym will be on her way to a raft of upcoming shows including blink-182, Matchbox Twenty, TLC, Iron Maiden, José Carreras & Plácido Domingo and more.

Arena pair shave it off for a great cause

Congratulations to two of our team members, Genevieve Guard and Kirsty West, who earlier this month committed to shaving their heads as part of the World’s Greatest Shave. The pair have been fundraising in the months leading up to the big day, with all proceeds going towards the World’s Greatest Shave charity and the Leukaemia Foundation. Well done, ladies!

CEO’s for Gender Equality

Our own GM, Michael Scott, has joined CEOs for Gender Equity: an organisation with a vision to accelerate gender equity in WA by inspiring and supporting CEOs to take action. You can read Michael’s member statement and some of the initiatives we as a venue are working on to make equality a reality here.
