Unique and new to market products; Concert Club and Vantage were embraced quickly upon release and are now officially at capacity.
Known as one of the world’s most visually striking venues, RAC Arena has truly cemented itself as Perth’s home of live entertainment. Since opening its doors in November 2012, the venue has hosted a plethora of the world’s best live music concerts, comedians and sporting events. Notable acts that have appeared at RAC Arena have included; Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, Katy Perry, Pink, Michael Bublé, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Celine Dion, Cher, Guns and Roses, Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue and The Rolling Stones to name just a few.
Operators, ASM Global, used the reduced events calendar during global Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions to re-evaluate the arena’s offerings and innovate new corporate hospitality products to appeal to the current market. Trends from recent new arena/stadium builds revealed that a non-exclusive members lounge product had strong appeal in the current market because it allowed guests to further network in a quality environment and took the pressure off corporates or businesses hosting an intimate group.
New commercial products ‘Vantage’ and ‘Concert Club’ were developed after an internal review of the arena’s corporate hospitality consumption showed the existing 12 and 18 seat suites were often a barrier to entry for small/medium businesses in the local market. By creating a more modern, ambient venue driven by an expert hospitality team that could host a mix of patrons, all guests could relax and enjoy an elevated event experience.
Corporate hospitality appetites have changed over the last few years with the focus shifting away from all client entertainment to a combination of client, staff and community partner engagement. RAC Arena’s Commercial Development Manager, Neil Wyatt says the reason for this is, “Better value VIP experiences at a lower cost (rather than the traditional large format suite offering) have made a lot of sense to corporate clients in a post Covid landscape. Both Vantage and Concert Club products offer supreme flexibility for clients with no pressure to host. Plus they boast a real wow-factor for their guests, whilst offering excellent value for money. We aren’t necessarily surprised that the products are a sell out, however it’s very humbling to receive this kind of response to something that is new to the market.”
RAC Arena General Manager, Michael Scott, brought on esteemed local chef Stephen Clarke and award winning sommelier Emma Farrelly to curate and finesse the new food and beverage offering for the upwardly mobile corporate market. The result is nimble and fun menus using local fresh produce, designed specially for each artist performing. Think prawn cocktails for 80’s icons Culture Club, and veggie delights like minted pea vichyssoise shooters inspired by vegan musician, Lizzo.

Vantage guests get to see the world’s greatest acts perform from the best vantage point at RAC Arena, enjoying first-class entertainment and memorable experiences in the curated company of Perth’s corporate community. An all-inclusive shared dining experience with a sit-down meal developed in collaboration with Stephen Clarke and RAC Arena’s Executive Chef, Paul Beard is paired with a wine list curated by Emma Farrelly. The venue’s award-winning catering team has a focus on fresh, sustainable, and quality local ingredients to take advantage of WA’s incredible produce and local suppliers.
Concert Club allows guests to network in style with an all-inclusive stand-up cocktail menu designed in collaboration with Stephen Clarke, Paul Beard and Emma Farrelly. With just under 100 club members, Concert Club is a truly unique experience.
These new member’s products take the work and manpower out of hosting. Members can send clients to a fabulous show and RAC Arena will do the rest to take care of their guests and offer a fun, hospitable and unique experience.
